THE JUDGES

Ashley Campbell

Songwriter. Singer. Banjo player. Ashley Campbell juggles all three roles, armed with the ability not only to dream up a modern country song, but to deliver it, too.

Already known for her work alongside her father, country legend Glen Campbell — who, during his final years as a touring musician, leaned heavily on his youngest daughter as a banjo player, keyboardist and harmony vocalist — Ashley is now stepping out on her own. Her music is a mix of her wide-ranging influences, combining the old-school country sound popularized by her father during the '60s and '70s with contemporary Americana, rootsy folk and country-pop. Glen Campbell's longtime fans may hear something familiar in Ashley's melodies as she embraces these similarities while distinguishing herself as a talented frontwoman.

Jay Allen

In 2018, Jay went viral after releasing a song he wrote for his mother who suffers from Alzheimer’s titled, “Blank Stares”. With over 125 million views on Facebook and 200K followers on social media, his story has been featured worldwide across media platforms such as People, Forbes, ABC World Nightly News, and Pickler & Ben, among others. Him and his band “The Stallions” are touring the country, and alongside The National Alzheimer’s Association, have helped hundreds of millions of dollars for the charity.

In December of 2018, Jay teamed with industry veteran and long time friend, Mickey Jack Cones(COR Entertainment). They are set to release new music over the coming months, the first of which is Jay’s debut single “Whatcha Say”.

victoria vox

Victoria Vox is a ukulele-toting award-winning songwriter and performer. With a passion for songwriting since she was 10, (first on keyboard, then on guitar), she studied at the Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) and in 2003, she took up the ukulele as her main accompaniment. Since the release of her first ukulele album in 2006 ( ... and her Jumping Flea), Vox has been one of the leading songwriters on the ukulele scene (Ukulele Magazine, front cover + feature article). However, she straddles into the folk scene as well, where she has opened for Jackson Browne, Tom Chapin, Leo Kottke, and Cheryl Wheeler. She performs mostly as a one-woman-band, incorporating a loop pedal and bass effect on her ukulele, while taking her own solos (on mouth-trumpet), and cutting through it all with her genuine lyrics and pure voice.

2018 welcomed the release of her new album, "Colorful Heart". It's whimsical and eclectic and full of heart.
